| Q1.
I can't access the site. I am prompted for my password multiple times, and then I get
"Error 401 - Unauthenticated Exception". |
| A1.
For the User Name, you should specify your TrueCommerce Integrator serial number. For the
Password, specify your True Commerce Integrator registration code. Make sure you type both
exactly; they are usually only digits with no spaces. Note that you may have changed your
TrueCommerce.net password. If you don't remember it, contact TrueCommerce.net Support to
have it reset. If you're using TrueCommerce.net's Mailbox service, your POP3 password and
TrueCommerce.net web site password are always the same. |
|
| Q2.
What are the numbers in the Transactions column? |
| A2.
These numbers refer to the type of transaction, followed by the number of transactions of
that type in the transmission. For example, 810:3 means there are three invoices in the
transmission (810 is the EDI code for an invoice). |
|
| Q3.
What does the Mode column mean? |
| A3.
There are two possible modes a transmission can have, production and test. Test mode is
used when sending the first few transactions to you or your trading partner in order to
verify things are working properly. Test transactions are not normally processed by you or
your trading partner. Once testing is complete, production mode is used. Consult your
TrueCommerce Integrator User's Manual for more information on test mode. |
|
| Q4.
Why do some transmissions show a charge, but others don't? |
| A4.
Acknowledgment transactions are not charged by TrueCommerce.net. These are indicated with
a 997 code in the Transactions column. |
|
| Q5.
Why do I see a transmission that has a charge double or triple what it should be? |
| A5.
This transmission was sent to the VAN more than once. Each time a transmission is sent to
the VAN, the charge is applied. Contact TrueCommerce.net Support if you need more details. |
|
| Q6.
What is the Sequence number? |
| A6.
This is a unique number assigned to the transmission by TrueCommerce.net. The database
used by TrueCommerce.net can be distributed between several servers and across different
TrueCommerce.net sites. This number ensures the transmission can be tracked regardless of
the TrueCommerce.net server on which it resides. |
|
| Q7.
Why does it show that it took hours for TrueCommerce.net to receive my transmissions? |
| A7.
All the times shown by TrueCommerce.net are always Eastern Time. If you are on Mountain
Time and send a transmission at 9 a.m. your time, TrueCommerce.net will show it was
received at 11 a.m. |
|
| Q8.
What is the File icon? When I click on it, it prompts me to download. |
| A8.
This is the actual EDI file that was created by TrueCommerce Integrator. It contains the
data formatted to the X12 standard. You normally don't need to view or download this; it
is provided for troubleshooting and verification. |
